I Took My 22nd Audition for a Major Symphony Orchestra | April 2017

I took my 22nd audition for a major symphony orchestra yesterday afternoon, but didn't advance. I greatly appreciate the Seattle Symphony for inviting me to the audition. I can't thank enough the following people, Donald McAllister, Juan de Gomar, Andrew Brady, Michael Sanders, David Lewis, Fritz Kaenzig, and James Stokes, for being mentors throughout this process. I played all 7 excerpts asked on Saturday and played my best audition ever. Have to also thank my friends, colleagues, and students for supporting me since January. I will return to Atlanta playing better than ever and will continue to take auditions in the future. I will share more news when it is official. :) Wishing the new principal tubist of the Seattle Symphony the very best in his or her position. To the great players who didn't advance and are wondering their next move...never give up the dream.
